Reading Cozon X2S specifications: frame, fork and drivetrain

How to read three entries in the X2S description without turning a material name or gear count into an unsupported performance claim.

Start with three separate entries

The Daraajati description of the COZON X2S lists the frame, fork and gearing. These are not three ways of expressing the same fact: one identifies the frame material, another names the fork, and the third describes the gear arrangement. Keeping them separate makes it easier to see what the page actually documents and which questions remain open. This explanation uses the retailer description checked on 7 November 2026, rather than a test ride.

The frame: a listed material, not a test result

The recorded frame material is aluminium. We report that material without treating it, by itself, as proof that the bicycle is lighter than another model or more comfortable for a particular rider. Our verified record contains neither a separate frame weight nor a comparative test result. The frame-material entry therefore remains an identifying detail; a performance judgment would need additional evidence.

The fork: retain the full name

The description names the front fork as SR SUNTOUR NEX and describes suspension for absorbing shocks. Keeping that name in your notes preserves more of the documented information than the word “suspension” alone. However, the description does not give us a numerical travel value or establish comfort on every surface. Those details are not recorded in the knowledge base used for this article, so we neither add them nor turn the feature into a comfort promise.

The drivetrain: what does 27 establish?

The description lists Shimano Altus with 27-speed gearing and specifies the arrangement as 3 front × 9 rear. That arrangement can be recorded as stated. Our record does not supply gear tooth counts for a detailed account of the ratio range, and the gear count establishes neither travelling speed nor ease on a particular route. We also do not assume that every drivetrain component is an Altus model simply because that name appears in the gearing entry.

Turn the description into a traceable record

Your notes can summarize the three entries as an aluminium frame, an SR SUNTOUR NEX fork with suspension according to the description, and a 3×9 gear arrangement listed with Shimano Altus. Keep the source link and the date you consulted it alongside these notes, with a separate space for unavailable information. Leave gaps visible rather than filling them with expectations, and distinguish a component name from a test result that has not been published.

Scope and our relationship to the source

HJNSA is a journal managed by Daraajati, whose store provides the model information used here; we are not an independent testing organization. This article offers no height-based size recommendation, competitor comparison or adjustment and operating instructions. Its purpose is to keep each detail within its evidential limits: a material name, a component model and a gear arrangement, with unverified information clearly identified.
